  • Imglikeopera - A cool addon for firefox that makes it faster

Are you on a dial up and hate images because they slow? Are you on a broadband but want to load images from only certain sites? Then, this addon is for you.

1 feature that i am sure opera users really enjoy is the block images feature. It is really good for dialup users and broadband users who don't bother about multimedia alike. Earlier firefox only used have block all images feature. You had to click through various menus to either enable or disable images. But now there is a cool little addon for firefox which is really useful for dial-up users.
Imglikeopera, a firefox addon by Danil Ivanov is created keeping dial-up users in mind. But it also has some nice features for the broadband users as well. Using this addon you can allow only whatever images you want to load in firefox. It uses filters to remember what sites to load images from. It displays placeholders for images blocked.
What if i want to load a blocked image? Do i have to enable images for that site and refresh the page? The answer is NO. You don't have to do that. You just need to hold CTRL and right click the placeholder to see the image and voila, the image loads without the need to refresh the page. If you don't want it to block images from certain sites you can add the site to the list of whitelisted sites.
Even there are nice filters like
    1) Don't load images.
    2) Load cached images only.
    3) Load images from the originating website only.
    4) Load all images.

So using this addon will give you complete authority about the way images display in your firefox browser. There are also some experimental options that you can check out if you check the option which says display experimental options tab.
